This piece was an artist study of Escher's work, A3 sized. I used a fine black pen in a pointillism style to achieve strong contrast between light and dark, aiming to use no lines at all. By using varying concentrations of dots I was able to form different shades which was key in this piece, taking around 6 hours to complete.
